We believe that exploring your creativity is a powerful way to discover who you truly are. Our psycho-educational group programs are designed to empower children, tweens, and teens to live connected, heartful lives. We provide a space where their true colours can shine, equipping them with the tools they need to understand and navigate their emotions through life’s ups and downs with genuine confidence.

Jen Ryan

Founder & Director

This is our founder, Jen Ryan. Jen is a former High School Guidance Counsellor and Visual Arts Teacher with 12 years of experience. Jen holds a Master's in Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Photography, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Bachelor of Business. Jen nurtures growing minds through innovative art programs, equipping them with tools to navigate their world.

Wesley Robe

Director

Meet Wesley Robe. Wes is drawn to helping people. Wes served in the Australian Defence Force for 12 years before studying psychology. Wes holds an Honours degree in Psychological Science and is a qualified yoga instructor. He is currently a registered Provisional Psychologist completing his Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland.

Creative Counsellor

Tamika is a Bachelor of Counselling graduate and ACA Level 2 counsellor, joining the Creative Connection team to facilitate our children's group program. Tamika has a genuine passion for working with young people, and loves creating a warm, safe space where children feel free to be themselves. She's excited to bring that energy to facilitating our children's group program this term, helping kids build confidence and connection through creative play.

Formerly known as Rue Create, Creative Connection is dedicated to building a brighter, more resilient tomorrow. We envision a world where individuals of all ages are empowered to live happy, connected lives. To achieve this, we support your mental health through a unique blend of creative counselling and evidence-based psychological care. Collaboratively guided by an accredited Level 3 Master Counsellor and our resident Psychologist, our research-driven programs provide a safe, expectation-free space. Whether you consider yourself 'artsy' or not, engaging in our creative process helps you build emotional wellbeing, gain valuable psychological insight, and find your flow without judgment.
